Education facing changes requires creative and healthy school architecture. In other words, school architecture must be viewed as a partner that does not hold back the right unfolding of education. Not all architects qualify to serve in this role. Only ‘School Architects’ who set aside commercial perspectives and approaches and are dedicated to school architecture with a sense of duty and sincere affection can do justice to the demands. We have to respect such dedication and pay our utmost decorum. Their dedication changes school, education, and children and is reflected onto the future of humanity. Such dedicated ‘School Architects’ stand their ground in silence in all Asian countries. To commemorate 1 living one (team) of architects from the Asian region, who have made important contributions to humanity and the educational environment and school architecture through the School Architecture each year, we wish to award CFSA’s international award ‘THE CFSA PRIZE’ with all the respect of our forum we could possibly express.

• Article 1 (Ground)This prize (hereinafter as “the Prize”) is established under Article 22 (8) of the articles of association (hereinafter as “the AOA”) of the Creative Convergence Forum for School Architecture (hereinafter as “the CFSA”), an aggregate corporation.
• Article 2 (Purpose) The Prize is an international annual award to living architects who, through the medium of school architecture, made a significant contribution for humankind, the educational environment and school architecture in the Asian region.
• Article 3 (Award Nominee)A (team) living architect of Asia satisfying the purpose as set forth in the foregoing Clause 1 hereof.
• Article 4 (Title)The title of this international prize is “The CFSA Prize”
• Article 5 (Selection Committee)A selection committee (hereinafter as “the Committee”) shall be organized each year in order to select the nominees. The Committee may consist of many members in addition to participating directors, who are to be ex officio members, and is to have a chairman. The prize winner of the preceding year may be dignified as a member of the Committee.
• Article 6 (Selection Period)The Committee shall select the nominees of the Prize in December based on the provisions of Clauses 2 and 3 hereof.
• Article 7 (Candidates)The selection candidates of the Prize is to be the schools posted in CFSA REVIEW: provided that a candidate from the Asia region may be added with unanimous consent of the selection members of the Committee.
• Article 8 (Selection Method)The selection members of the Committee shall vote online/offline and select candidates. The details of the voting method may be determined by the Committee.
• Article 9 (Date and Place of Award)The date of award is to be at the time of holding a general meeting of the forum, and the place of the award is to be the Republic of Korea. Under special circumstances, the awarding of Prize is to be conducted online.
• Article 10 (Prize Money)The selected person winning the Prize is to be given a certain amount of prize money (￦5,000,000), a certificate and plaque (or medal).
• Article 11 (Retention of Prize Winner Record)The result of the award shall be recorded and retained in a separate ledger.

Supplementary Provisions

• The Regulations shall be executed from the ___th day of April, 2021.
• Any matters which are not set forth herein shall be determined under customary practices, and the matter necessary for the operation of these Regulations shall be separately determined by the board of directors.
