한 그루의 큰 나무아래, 어느 한 사람이, 몇 사람들에게 자신의 생각에 대해 말하고 있었습니다. 그리고 사람이 모여들었고, 서로가 자신의 의견을 주고 받으며 토론을 하기 시작했습니다. 학교는 이렇게 시작되었습니다.

교육자와 학교건축 전문가의 사회적 책무

결국 Paradigm(패러다임) 이라는 단어는 사회와 미래의 변화를 반드시 동반하는 것이고,
그 변화는 교육과 서로간의 교류를 통해 아이들에게 가장 먼저 반영되고,
그래서 학교에서 가장 먼저 실갑하게 됩니다.
그런데, 학교건축은, 학교공간은 왜 바뀌지 않는다고, 왜 더디게 변화된다고 느껴질까요?
학교는 학생이 공부하는 곳만으로서가 아니고, 이러한 다양한 변화를 만끽하면서, 학생과 학생, 학생과 교사, 학교와 지역이 서로 교류하는 생활공간이자, 새로운 융합 공간으로 빠르게 변화해가고 있습니다.

“학교의 그러한 변화에 뒤처지지 않고, 전문가로서, 어른으로서 스스로 발맞추어가려고 진지하게 고민하였습니까?” 이것이 그 변화의 차이를 가장 먼저 받아들이는 학생과 학교를 위해, 교육자는 그 학생의 입장에서 교육하고, (소위) 학교건축 전문가는 그 학생의 변화를 수용해주는 공간과 건축을 제공하려고 노력하였는 가를 묻고 있는 겁니다.

Social Responsibilities of the Educators and
School Architectural Experts

Eventually, the word “paradigm” is accompanied by the changes in society and the future, and the changes must be reflected first to the children through education and mutual exchange to enable schools to realize changes are a top priority. However, why do we feel that school architecture and space are not changing or changing very slowly?
School is not just a place for study by students, but also a living space where there are exchanges between students, students and teachers, and between schools and regions while enjoying these various changes, and it is changing rapidly into a new convergent space.

"Were there sincere thoughts on not falling behind these changes in the school to keep the pace as an expert and as an adult?"
This is asking whether the educator is educating in the perspective of the students, and whether the (so-called) school architectural expert is trying to provide the space and architecture accommodating the changes in the students for the students and schools that accept the difference of the changes initially.

건축은 학교를 바꿀 수 있는 힘이 있습니다. 학교는 아이들을 바꿀 수 있는 힘이 있습니다. 우리는 지금 이러한 학교의 시작을 준비하고 있는것입니다. 대도시든, 중소도시이든, 농산 어촌지역이든, 신도시이든, 어딘가에 학생들이 모일 한 그루의 큰 나무를 찾아, 그 아래에 서계시는 것입니다. 어떤 한 그루의 큰 나무를, 찾아, 심으시겠습니까 ? 그래서 학교를 어떻게 바꾸시겠습니까? 우리는 학생과 학교를 위해 무엇을 해야 하겠습니까?
